Product Care and Maintenance: Here at Brooklyn Shea, we take pride in using 100% all natural, organic ingredients in our shea butters. Because our shea butters do not contain preservatives, please make every effort to store your product in an area free of moisture and do not allow moisture to get into the container.

Our products consist of various butters and oils, so please note that your shea butter could experience a color change, may harden or separate, and even melt. In the event that your shea butter product melts, please use included mixing spatula to mix product and then place in the refrigerator for no longer than 5 minutes. Please keep in mind, this does not alter the effects of your shea butter. 

Shea Butter Benefits: Shea butter is a skin and hair superfood, used in Africa for years to maintain skin and hair health. Shea butter is a moisturizer, SPF protection of 3 or 4, natural anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal that assists in cell regeneration and helps battle the effects of eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis. Shea butter contains vitamins A, E, and F, antioxidant vitamins that promote circulation and healthy skin cell growth.These are just some of the many benefits of shea butter.

Colloidal Oatmeal helps to provide relief to itchy skin, exfoliates, calms itchy skin, gentle on sensitive skin.

Aloe Vera Gel helps with wound healing, soothes, calms, and is also perfect for medical workers who must wear protective masks for prolonged time periods.  

Peppermint Essential Oil are Menthol and Menthone, which are known to reduce pain and to invigorate, energize, with expectorant properties. 

Clary Sage Essential Oil is suited to both oily and dry skin types. It exhibits a cooling property that soothes skin afflicted with inflammation and it calms rashes. Its balancing property stabilizes the production of natural oil and sebum to prevent acne breakouts.

Cedarwood Essential Oil can help soothe irritation, inflammation, redness, and itchiness, as well as dryness that leads to cracking, peeling, or blistering. It also address the discomforts of muscle aches, joint pain or stiffness.

Eucalyptus Oil is a popular ingredient in balms, inhalers, massage blends, and dental hygiene products for its soothing, stimulating, and anti-bacterial properties. It can also can be attributed to its anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, decongestant, deodorant, and antiseptic qualities, among other valuable properties.

Lavender Essential Oil has been found to eliminate harmful bacteria, relieve muscle spasms, relieve flatulence, disinfect and soothe inflamed skin especially when resulting from a venomous, itchy bug bite, promote speedy healing of irritated and scarred skin, and to relieve muscle tension when used in a massage.

Sweet Orange Essential Oil reduce the number of blocked pores, allowing your hair to fully exfoliate. It's rich in antioxidants for healthier, happier hair.

Tea Tree Essential Oil can help with various ailments, such as dandruff and promotes healthy hair. It is also a powerful, antiseptic immune system stimulant that is beneficial for eliminating bacteria, viruses, and fungi.

Sweet Almond Oil increases shine, seals in moisture, strengthens  hair, reduces hair loss and contains high levels of vitamin A, B, D and E which should help bring your hair back to life.

Apricot Oil moisturizes the hair and scalp while increasing the hydration level and reducing dryness. It also absorbs small amounts of water from the air’s humidity to help maintain that barrier of hydration inside the strand and scalp.
